Installations

There are a number of current installations that are a part of the Gender Project. At Face Value is the art and educational component of the Gender Project. It has been shown at high schools and colleges, used for trainings, as well displayed at galleries. Go to Outreach and Education to learn more, or have At Face Value come to you. The Familiar Gender’s purpose is to challenge the idea that the family automatically means Mom, Dad, and conceived kids-unless told otherwise. Why do we have to use words such as adopted, step, foster, gay, chosen, etc? Family is what you make it. (re)Defining Gender is projected to launch 2011 and is slated to the most challenging and controversial leg of this project.
